In October, I turn 30... urgh. Oh well, it's only the end of my 20's, not the world... or so I'm told.
Here debutes the style revolutions of the last days of my 29's in preparation for the big day... and I'm sorry, but it will be a big day.
Quality jeans, shoes, underwear are all on my list and will be curated here... but let's start with the first thing I plan to be wearing first:
Despite writing this in a baggy cropped tee and boxers straight out of bed with crap films on the TV (on a day where I really should be doing something outside in the rarity that is August sunshine in Cornwall), recently I've been longing for my very own pair of luxurious silk pyjamas. At heart I'm a purist, when it comes to this investment I want a masculine cut, neutral colour and silk that I don't want to take off!

I do plan on pairing my pyjamas with feathered mules and champagne - did I mention... it will be a big day?

VOTE

Sat at my desk and this obvious amendment popped into my head.
Today is the General Election - a time to stand up and be counted, choose your choice, don't choose to be overlooked.

What AM I wearing?!

Travelling up to London from Cornwall calls for Elle, Elle and more Elle! (Not to mention tea and copious flapjack supplies).
This week I'm on my way up to work with one of the most wonderful industry insiders I have met (who will remain nameless) to fit the Autumn Winter 2015 collection.
The journey up to London is 5 hours and so I'm opting for comfort in ASOS's ripped boyfriend jeans in black. I managed to find these ones in the sale (fantastic news) so they only set me back a couple of pennies and so are perfect to pair with my Uzma Bozai Ester Jacket. I seem to gravitate to black denim, it feels less casual than indigo washes and as I'm guilty of uniform dressing at work (jeans and a shirt is the ultimate classic so who can complain?!) at least in black denim I'm nearing the widely adopted black trouser, no??
I'm also totally loving the black combo with the electric blue of my hand beaded Ester Jacket by Uzma Bozai. Adding a quilted bowling bag from Zara kept me from feeling too dressed down, and obviously I need somewhere to stash my magazine collection once I arrive in London!
Loving an affordable luxe accessory, I am currently obsessed with the Wanderlustlife hot pink chalcedony necklace. The chalcedony symbolises clam and composure and channels confidence - all of which I definitely I need to find at the moment and so I'm wearing it religiously.
I bought this pretty necklace from Magpie and Fox in Truro at their opening event - I'm guilty of not having time to go back to this lovely boutique since it's launch weekend in March but I've been absolutely rushed off my feet for what feels like months. I'm looking forward to the end of SS16 design purely for the fact that my heart will be able to beat at a sensible pace and I can catch up with some very lovely people and see what exciting things they've been up to!

Uzma Bozai SS15

As I walked home from the small town train station in the deepest depths of Cornwall, rain swelling in the soles of my flip flops washing the London grime from the bottom of me feet, I felt a serge of pride fill my chest- I was making my return to our new flat (rented, obvs) after a couple of days away shooting the Uzma Bozai SS15 collection.

My drawings, my babies, come to life in silks embellished by hand, shots of colour and cool beaded styles eager to become favourite pieces in peoples wardrobes. It dawned on me, I really am a fashion designer. I've just completed the 5th collection for a new luxury womenswear brand and it looked amazing. We shot in East London, the studio sweltering hot and my face pink and in need of that green corrective base or whatever it is- but no time for that, hair, makeup, new hair, styling... Pastries, a busy day with an early start in order to capture all the styles of our best collection to date.

Working with stylists from Marie Claire magazine and with our press girls to hand, our team has expended but the core is the same, as are our design ideals, but this season, streamlined into our most commercial collection to date. A bit of vintage from the Vintage Warehouse 13

BANK HOLIDAY WEEKENDS are upon us! With one seemingly every other weekend (not that I'm complaining) it's given me time to ponder... do I need to assess my weekend wardrobe?... I love my ASOS docklands beyond belief and despite being one size too small, the desire to wear them outweighed the pain (oh the serious pain) that deep down inside I knew would ensue. Joining my crack like addiction for all things cream and knitted, the shimmer of a silver, holographic 100% synthetic sweat inducing skate trainer is becoming a thing I just can't resist. Whilst, if I had the budget, a Miu Miu Metal cap skate shoe would be at the top of the list (I recall one mesmerising moment in Liberties shoe hall) I feel the age old temptation to have quantity over quality and buy up Offices entire range.
Shoe fettish aside, this weekend sees me quietly milling around Falmouth, dropping into our local vintage store and drooling over the 1970's danish furniture I so fashionably covet yet only recently snubbed when my Grandma's Ercol was going for a song.
Coffee with the boy and catching up on a little "research" (cue head in magazine), spotting Uzma Bozai in Company & OK! magazines, lie in's and beating that persistent little headache- this weekend is set to be a beautiful, comfortable, miscellany of nothingness x

TODAY I'M WEARING a top by Uzma Bozai's AW14 collection. In silk with a print inspired by vintage Indian textiles, its indigo and black combo sharpens up the Eatern influence, making a piece perfect to wear with my black skinnies and super high pointed cage heels mixing luxury with high street.
